Prepare for take off, when loading is finished you might only have a split second to put your settings right. Example: i i m b F7 will give you full screen view, MFD's and a target searching weapon, in this case HellFires. Your Rockets and Gun can lock on targets too by using b, but use with caution as b only lets you shoot when you actually have a lock.
And also make sure during load, that your Torque is set right.
It is a good idea to check in, when you are in game, sometimes loading fails.
NOTICE: At least three ways to chat and only one works for you: Either click \ or ' or # [message] Return

The book says "wait 30 seconds before moving" in multiplayer, but if all has checked in you can also go.

As usual there is more, but you will learn your own tricks
Where did he come from? Havok's can fly too
Did you ever wonder why you can't launch your unguided rockets sometimes? That's something which is not explained in the manual. The answer is pretty simple. The Rockets won't launch at speeds over 100 knots. If u stay below that speed they will work. If you use b key all weapons will be locked by the CP/G.
Stay below 100 knots and the rockets will launch.

You can change chopper during both single- and multiplayergames. Lets say that you fly a mission with a mate in seperate choppers and u want to join his chopper as Gunner. You leave the vehicle you use by clicking F9, the CPU will continue flight. Then you use F11/F12 to go backwards/forwards untill you see your mates chopper. Then click Shift F2 F2 and you are in his Gunner seat. Can also be done if other unit CPU helicopters are available and if you want to fly them use Shift F1 F1. Unfortunately you cannot pick a tank, but only your own flight color and only flyable a/c..
Change chopper in mid air or become Gunny

In case you want to change your Flight Model in game click shift v. and use arrows for parameter, then + & - This will not save, but if you remember you can later change your custom.ini or flt1.ini in your Data folder to the sets you prefer.

If you want to use the Mouse for panning, for some controllers you have to make sure that the Custom.ini hasn't got a conflict with hatpanning. Set the MousePan= TRUE and the hatswitch panning value to 0.0. It does take "three" hands (K-board, mouse and controller) though, so Hatpanning on values and MousePan= FALSE might work better for you.

If you want real realistic mode you have too set all parameters to realistic, except ammo and respawn. In other cases the chopper doesn't fly correct, and won't be as agile as you want.
Keys not described in book, above or not used much:
Shift w, will give you Next Waypoint to the entire flight
Shift v, will give you sets from FM on screen and is removed by shift v as well
Shift r, will give you a new chopper if respawn is on.
v, switches radarrange btw 3 and 6 km. (Notice that in rain and bad wx, smart              weapons range will be less than in good condition wx). Patch required.
i, gives transparent flightdeck and ii, gives full screen view. i to return
m, will either put give MFD look or in case of full screen view put the MFD up in the       corners of the screen.
e & r toggles the different MFD view settings.
n is an overview map, and you can select support there if available (Artillery/Fastmovers)
n, is a good overview if you are on a hill and the enemy is not. Besides you can move/add/remove WP's and change them and the flightprofile.
s & d toggles hud brightness between very green and almost black

l haven't described the CP/G functions, but experiment with , . / L and orders. All in book.
Passing a waypoint (1) and wanting to go on: Shift w erased current wp and renames all the rest to WP 1, WP 2 etc. Your track marker switches to new WP 1 If you find out that your complete route is a disaster, remove all WP clicking Shift w till they are all gone and add new as below. The shift w function requires the Hasbro Patch.

You can also do that more complicated by pressing Tab - 1 - 6 - 3 - Tab - Tab. But more functionalities here. Pretty selfexplaining. In both cases the first WP disappears.

If you wan't to move a wp or add one (maximum 6) you click n and either left click a WP drag-drop a WP from one position to another, left click somewhere on the map to make a new WP that will be added after the last one. (So you can keep doing that as you remove the first ones)

Observe: When you change something in the n map hit Return before going back to the cockpit wih F1 - works for Host and sometimes for others too. Can depend on host selection of the most left chopper of the selection screen, not sure.

You can remove WP's in the n map by right clicking on them

Also in the n map you can chance the current designation of many things in the right section. You can change a WP from BP (Battlepoint) to LZ (Landing zone) and your flight conditions like to "Tactical" instead of  "Nap of the Earth" etc.

If you click Support in he n map you will be able to call in Artillery or A -10 support if such are included in the mission, can be very nice especially the artillery, just leftclick where you want your support (marks a TRP) and select the battery (example: MLRS) from the menu on the left.  Don't go there until after the barrage :-) This TRP can also be set by pointing the gun crosshair at an enemy position and pressing 7 and the request support via Tab - 6 - # of unit (1) - Tab
After a multiplayer game you can get the mission txt you just flew in case you want. In Gunship!\Data\ folder you will find it as battle.txt. It is only there till you begin a new mission. So after playing multiplayer games, you can copy/paste that (the Host's) mission, battle.txt,  from Data folder to Data\Battle\Player folder, and then rename it to the name you can find inside the battle.txt file (top) or whatever you choose. The name in the selection screen will be the one in the txt file.
